She has been a good guest on my program. One of the very, very few to travel outside the Green Zone to do actual reporting.

PROTECT THE RIVERWALK "citizens' alert"
"The unique character of the San Antonio River Walk is under great threat. Today’s River Walk economics make an uneven playing field between smaller locally-owned businesses and national chains. If this trend is allowed to continue, it will result in the eventual destruction of the River Walk’s ambiance..."
NUMBER of DAYS SINCE the E-MAIL INCIDENT THAT
COUNCILWOMAN ELENA GUAJARDO HAS NOT RESIGNED
Allen Ellebract is trying to get
City Council to investigate councilwoman Guajardo and seeks email
support at firstname.lastname@example.org
You are not really being fair here. Councilwoman Guarjardo is in the inner sanctum of city politics now and is stuck between a rock and hard place.
Her email to Zachry was not so much reporting a misunderstood email to an outside party, but rather just a daily report to one of her bosses ... She is not blameless of course, but the real villain is the entity that fires a 26 year employee for a single violation of using the company computer for personal business.
I suggest they fire everybody who ever did that at Zachry and see how many people they have left.
email Riverwalk / Guajardo
It’s great that you’re carrying the River Walk petition on your site. Kudos. Scrolling further down however, I’m disappointed to see the bit about Elena Guajardo. I do not think she should resign. From what I understand, Zachry reviewed the incident and decided it violated an internal policy. They fired George Dickerson. Not Elena. She asked that he not be fired over the incident.
At any rate, I’ve never been to your web site before today, but am familiar with your KTSA radio show for the most part. Although I don’t always agree with your opinions, it’s always refreshing to find folks who don’t simply toe the party line.
Thanks for emailing, Erin. The critical issue in the Guajardo / Zachry case is the councilwoman's tattling to Zachry about "Tripp" Dickerson having sent his email from the company's network. What a miserably small thing to do. -Brad

Order, peace elusive in Iraqi city of Samarra
