CIA says Iraq war helps recruit terrorists
The insurgency in Iraq continues to baffle the U.S. military and intelligence communities, and the U.S. occupation has become a potent recruiting tool for al Qaeda and other terrorist groups, top U.S. national security officials told Congress yesterday.

Homeland Security chief was tight with Bush pollsters Ridge's get-togethers with Republican strategists Frank Luntz and Bill McInturff during a period the secretary was saying his agency was playing no role in Bush's re-election campaign were revealed in daily appointment calendars obtained by The Associated Press under the Freedom of Information Act.
"We don't do politics in the Department of Homeland Security," Ridge told reporters during the election season.
His aides resisted releasing the calendars for over a year, finally providing them to the AP three days after Ridge left office this month.

James Guckert

Bush's Barberini Faun I am very impressed with James Guckert, a k a Jeff Gannon. How often does an enterprising young man, heralded in press reports as both a reporter and a contributor to such sites as Hotmilitarystud.com, Workingboys.net, Militaryescorts .com, MilitaryescortsM4M.com and Meetlocalmen.com, get to question the president of the United States?

Anyone got that gay-nude photo of Guckert that Jon Stewart used last night on The Daily Show? It surely would look spiffy here...

Hey Brad,
Here’s a link to that Gannon guy. At first, I thought this was pretty funny. After viewing his photos, well, it’s more pathetic than funny. The guy had a lot of anti-homosexual propaganda up and yet…it sure looks like he was heavily involved in some serious homosexual conduct himself.
All I can think of is he must really loath himself considering some of the stuff he had written about homosexuals, which made this whole situation rather sad.

Mom fights removing baby from life support Doctors could remove life support from a baby boy born with a fatal form of dwarfism as early as next week if an appellate court upholds a Harris County Probate Court judge's groundbreaking decision to let the hospital determine the infant's fate. Although patients on ventilator support may live for years, that would not be the case with Sun, experts said. Because of his small rib cage, his lungs cannot expand to sustain his body and he will be slowly starved of oxygen.

For most Mexican truckers, access to US a waiting game President Bush came to office promising by 2002 to lift the restrictions, originally put in place by President Clinton in 1995. But the road has been filled with speedbumps.

Bush nominates Negroponte as US intel chief

Gov. Blow-Dry's ex-staff chief a big-bucks lobbyist Five months ago, Mike Toomey was Gov. Rick Perry's chief of staff, directing virtually every aspect of state government. Now he's a high-dollar lobbyist for gambling, tobacco and health care interests that will win or lose hundreds of millions in the evolving policies that Mr. Toomey helped craft.
