This astonishing story ain't appeared nowhere else that I can
see. An entire reserve platoon in Iraq refused an order to deliver
fuel because their vehicles weren't properly secured and maintained.
Congressman Bennie Thompson is getting involved.

Thanks for the note on our website. We are working to improve
the information flow regarding elections and voter registration
information. Speaking (writing?) of which, we have enhanced
the information available by phone: 335-8683 (VOTE)
- allows
you to find one of several close early voting locations
(by zip code) and your election day site (by precinct
or by birth date & house number.
- just
follow the voice instructions.
- also
allows you to leave a message for an application for a
ballot or a voter registration card (though it is too
late to register to vote for the November election)
- and
other information - hours/website, etc.
- The
system is available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week.

Virginia, for this story and the Cheney "lesbian outrage"
item below
To
me, the outstanding thing about the 3rd presidential debate was
that Bush and Cheney later feigned such outrage over John Kerry's
reference to Cheney's daughter being a lesbian. The Salon.com article
linked below addresses the total phoniness of that faked outrage
John
Kerry's lesbian moment Dick and Lynne Cheney screamed
foul when the Democratic candidate mentioned their gay daughter.
But for gays and lesbians, what is most outrageous is the Cheneys'
outrage.
Sorry, but
at Salon.com you have to either subscribe or watch a commercial.

site. Sigh...)

O'Reilly
Hey
Brad,
...I appreciate your viewpoints and your humor. I'm also
a fan of the O'reilly report. I read the lawsuit on smoking
gun yesterday. description of O'reilly is hilarious. I find
it hard to believe that the accuser would accept so many
of O'reilly's dinner invitations to be credible. Nowadays
you just never know. On the other hand, sometimes while
watching his show, ive seen that glazed and cross eyed look
that his accuser described. Maybe he has that little buddy
(vibrator) under his desk while doing his show.

Hi
Brad!
Just wandering why # 52 in the lawsuit states that her ex-boss
at CNN was terminated for sexual harassment? I find this
very ironic. Is it just me? Why would her lawyer admit a
possible link or is this something they knew they would
have to deal with in their lawsuit? I would like to know
more about this case and I can guarantee you O'Reilly's
lawyers will try to use it against her if they can. that's
the only reason I can think of that her lawyer would have
stated a potentially harming fact! Just wandering.

Doesn't continuing the call imply consent? Has me wondering....

casualties
Brad,
I thought you may find this website interesting. Most people
don't realize how many of our military men and woman have
been killed and wounded in Iraq and Afghanastan (7532 Wounded
in Action and 1092 Military Fatalities since March 2003).
As a former soldier myself, my heart goes out to their families
and loved ones.

and others recognize that Sanchez remains politically "radioactive,"
in the words of a third senior defense official, and would wait
until after the Nov. 2 presidential election and investigations
of the Abu Ghraib scandal have faded before putting his name forward.
About the South Texas Son: Sanchez,
who has commanded the Army 5th Corps in Germany since June, is
widely respected throughout the military, and his rise from humble
beginnings to one of the nation's highest-profile military positions
has made him a powerful symbol in the Latino community.

KTSA on internet
Brad,
Brad, I used to live in SA. I am wondering about net radio.
How can I get you guys on the net? I can't seem to find
it out there.
Vince
Vince,
we used to be on the internet before we were acquired
by Viacom. Then the neanderthal who was put in charge
of us pulled all CBS stations off the net for no valid
known reason other than Viacom couldn't make money off
of it, is what I was told.
That guy is gone now. Not too long ago, exceptions were
made for some stations, but not for us.
Perhaps one day we will be allowed to return to the present
century.
I get a ton-and-a-half of email about KTSA not streaming
on the net. Some is from local people who want to listen
at work but their AM radios won't get a signal thru their
walls. Some is from other states and other countries.
