Pentagon planned to hold detainees in secret
Proposal to keep some prisoners "off the books" went against promises for yearly case reviews for all prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.
Despite pledging yearly reviews for all prisoners held by the U.S. military at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Pentagon officials tentatively agreed during a high-level meeting last month to deny that process to some detainees and to keep their existence secret "for intelligence reasons," senior defense officials said Thursday.

Pentagon: Bush record accidentally destroyed Military records that could help establish President Bush's whereabouts during his disputed service in the Texas Air National Guard more than 30 years ago have been inadvertently destroyed, according to the Pentagon.
The destroyed records cover three months of a period in 1972 and 1973 when Bush's claims of service in Alabama are in question.

re. Eliza and Carl

Brad,
You wouldn't know me from Adam, but I gotta know what happened to your peers and their programs. One day they are there and the next day... gone! I musta missed the explanations or none were given. I'm confused and feel a little betrayed and hurt. No one checked with me first or even bothered to ask my opinion! Thanks,
Dave Risner in Schertz
BIG Messer supporter!

Dave, I'll run this one more time because so many people are emailing the same question. On June 23 we received this email:

Carl Wiglesworth and Eliza Sonneland are no longer with KTSA. They have made many contributions over the years to KTSA for which they should be thanked. Please join me in wishing them the best for the future. We are currently searching for replacements and hopefully will be able to announce them within the next 2 to 4 weeks.
