9/11' generates heat at box-office "..first documentary
ever to debut as Hollywood's top weekend film."
Local report on Fahrenheit 9-11
I burned a vacation day Friday and went to see the movie,
taking our 13 year old son so that he could learn a few things
I can say, in my partisan point of view....is WOW. A powerful
movie. One that made more money this weekend in fewer screens
than any other movie. One that was sold out or full in almost
every area of the country, red states and blue states.
at the 1:45 showing at the Quarry, the theater was very nearly
full. On a Friday afternoon!! And it wasn't like that was
the only theater having it here. I was frankly, surprised.
were all types of people there too....old, young, white, hispanic,
black. Really a true representation of our world. At the end,
a real, spontaneous blast of applause and about half of the
audience gave it a standing ovation.
should go Brad.....you always are fair in your presentations
on the radio...you are becoming more disenchanted with our
leader....you should see this movie. It may not make you change
your mind, but it certainly ought to make you wonder why the
media continues to give him a pass on just about everything
really go into any parts of the movie. There are parts that
make you laugh out loud, parts that make you go....EUEWWWW....(Wolfowitz
and his comb) parts that really and truly make you cry your
eyes out....parts that make you madder than hell. It moves
people in just about all ways. I didn't realize it until later
how worn out I was from seeing this. But, this is a deeply
patriotic movie and Moore means to save our country, not harm
it, despite what the right wingers will be saying about him.
the end, during the credits and the applause, this was one
of my favorite parts...and not even a part of the movie...a
woman in the audience shouted out..."Come November, you
are history you piece of shit!!"
