Usually I clean out the day's headline links between 10 and midnight and load an abbreviated page for overnight. New stuff is normally uploaded between 8 and 10 a.m. and stays all day and evening.
Sometimes I add during the day but only occasionally. Weekends don't get much updating if any at all.
Previous headline links are always available (by month) in the Headline Archive in this column, or you can keyword search the entire site with the button

Yesterday's poll results

Maybe it's true, "A picture is worth a 1000 words," and those type words don't go over easy in the world of politics!

The GI's deserve the countrys honor and prayers.

Let's BAN Bush from the Whitehouse. Vote anybody else but Bush. Throw the bum out.

Just another example of the Government trying to keep the public dummied down.

This is a private matter for their families and a time of great loss to them. We already hear on the news every day of the # of American deaths. Unless we are related to that soldier, we should only be praying for them and our country

"War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength! "

I thought that "character counts". If character counts, then so must truth. You do not fight wars without casualties. The American public needs to be reminded of that, from time to time.

I don't see how anyone could agree with this policy. Even though news coverage and photography of the soldiers' homecomings is indeed heart rending, we still have the right to know what is going on. Does President Bush think the parents, wives, children, etc. don't have the right of our sympathy? What a crock!!!

no more covering up

Brad, This just fits with 'Dubyas' whole Iraq deal. He goes in there 'hell-bent-for-leather', but does not want to own up to the tragic results of his misguided 'escapade'. He does not want to be 'reminded' of his folly. Unfortunately, the Parents of these brave soldiers, do. I've got a new mindset, Vote Libertarian! Thanks Brad. P.S. Vote LIB, exept if Kinky runs for Gov.

Typical cover up move by the Bush spinmeisters. They constantly insult the intelligence of the American people with their lies and cover-ups.

Does he think war doesn't equal death?

Bush lies to the people.

I think this is the least we can do for our soldiers, they have given their lives and to hide that fact is not showing respect.

Here is this excellant President, trying to hide more of this perfect plan, he still has not come up with an answer for. But everybody is behind him, no matter what it cost.

Brad, it is the same as telling the networks they can not report on deaths of soldiers.

you liberals need to get over yourself

What's this morbid fascination with photos of dead soldiers coffins? For all the viewer knows, they are boxes of c-rations. Maybe we should make the military remove the covers of the coffins so the interested public can take pictures of the actual bodies. Maybe even let them take souvenirs? What's the matter with you ghouls?

We in America now want to sanitize everything in the name of a word for which I am at a loss.

American's have a right to know and should know.

I think the results of his actions need to be seen by the American public.

our president is in denial. if we don't see them, does it mean they don't exist?

we don't want another Viet Nam of watching a war on T V. Lets give the families prayers, they don't need to have the world intrude in their private life.

Bush wants to avoid negative press, period.
