Usually I clean out the day's headline links between 10 and midnight and load an abbreviated page for overnight. New stuff is normally uploaded between 8 and 10 a.m. and stays all day and evening.
Sometimes I add during the day but only occasionally. Weekends don't get much updating if any at all.
Previous headline links are always available (by month) in the Headline Archive in this column, or you can keyword search the entire site with the button

Facing up to the global age wave
Been to Florida lately? You may not have realized it, but as you gazed on the vast concentration of seniors there - nearly 19 percent of the Sun State's population - you were looking at humanity's future. Today's Florida is a demographic benchmark that every developed nation will soon pass.

Hey Brad check this out: Gay fraternity coming out
Did you know that UTSA is about to get its first gay frat house? I am a senior and personally don't care that the people are gay. I have no problem with gay people (my mother is gay). My problem is with the hypocrisy of those people who claim to want equality and to just be left alone, but later work to segregate themselves in whatever sort of group that they want. While if I wanted to create an anglo fraternity or a heterosexual frat house, there would be outrage.
I thought that a fraternity was for academic and professional development and achievement, not social clubs that admit their members by the determination of their leanings with regard to the subject of homosexuality.

HOLLYWOOD PARK STARVING DEER

Who's working to help these Hollywood Park deer survive the new deer-feeding ban? I'm leaving this photo here for a while.
Whoever brought the stack of photos to KTSA and left them for me, thank you very much. If you'll call - or email - an address, I'll mail them back to you.

2004 election calendar
The 2004 political calendar is front-loaded with key presidential primaries. This means the Democratic candidate for president could be decided by early March.
