Website S.O.P.
Usually I clean out the day's headline links between 10 and midnight and load an abbreviated page for overnight. New stuff is normally uploaded between 8 and 10 a.m. and stays all day and evening.
Sometimes I add during the day but only occasionally. Weekends don't get much updating if any at all.
Previous headline links are always available (by month) in the Headline Archive in the left column, or you can keyword search the entire site with the button

US troops facing revenge attacks
The commander of the US-led coalition in Iraq said in a newspaper interview published on Wednesday that US forces, already under heavy pressure from guerrilla-style operations by resistance fighters, now face revenge attacks from ordinary Iraqi's angered by the continuing American occupation.

Bush still claims Iraq connected with 9-11 attacks(!)

Cheney still going with fiction that Saddam did 9/11
Vice President Dick Cheney, anxious to defend the White House foreign policy amid ongoing violence in Iraq, stunned intelligence analysts and even members of his own administration this week by failing to dismiss a widely discredited claim: that Saddam Hussein might have played a role in the Sept. 11 attacks.

Rumsfeld says NO link between 9-11 and Iraq

Seeking honesty in U.S. Iraq policy
JOSEPH WILSON was deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad from 1988 to 1991. In July, he called into question the Bush administration's assertions about Iraq seeking uranium from Africa by revealing that he had been asked by the U.S. government to look into such claims -- and had reported in early 2002 that they were unfounded.

Iraqis' bitterness called bigger threat than terror
New intelligence assessments are warning that the United States' most formidable foe in Iraq during the months ahead may be the resentment of ordinary Iraqis.

Poll of Iraqis shows some optimism
50 percent of those polled thought America would do more to hurt than help Iraq over the next five years, versus 36 percent who thought America would help. Women were particularly wary of the US.
