Usually I clean out the day's headline links between 10 and midnight and load an abbreviated page for overnight. New stuff is normally uploaded between 8 and 10 a.m. and stays all day and evening.
Sometimes I add during the day but only occasionally. Weekends don't get much updating if any at all.
Previous headline links are always available (by month) in the Headline Archive in the left column, or you can keyword search the entire site with the button

Today's Express-News report shows me that the editor should assign someone else to write the stories about air pollution in our area. It contains a mistake about how ozone is formed, an unchallenged endorsement of vehicle pollution monitoring, and worst of all, it leaves out a key fact— both times the air pollution level exceeded the federal limit were on weekends, when fewer cars are on the roads, so it wasn't the cars that caused all the problem. And outlying monitors also recorded excess ozone, so what was happening in the city was happening in the country, too. It wasn't cars, folks, it was something that blew in from somewhere else. Can you find that in the story?

OPENS TOMORROW
My friends Ken and Laurie Graff at 7A Ranch in Hondo have done a terrific corn maze this year. It opens Saturday. Their website full of info is HERE. Let's hope Hondo isn't in for any more tornado silliness such as destroyed the great maze a couple of years ago!
