It Takes A Village

PGA Village is dead. Again.

After the PGA pulled out of the development project almost two years ago, San Antonio made a big pitch and pulled PGA back in. Now they've quit again, and another big pitch is being made. I reckon this one could be called Son of the Pitch.

County Judge Nelson Wolff is leading the attempt to placate and entice the huge golf project back. Wolff is good at charging into issues and saving the day. He had a major part in shredding red tape to entice Toyota here.

Wolff is asking us to show a lot of public support right now— before next week's PGA board meeting, at which a final, final, really-really final decision may be made.

Send PGA an email showing your support, says Judge Wolff. I support him in this effort. The email address is SanAntonio@pgahq.com. There is a link on my own site, bradmesser.com

Support for PGA Village is my own position: it doesn't necessarily reflect the attitude of anyone else here. It's plain that, in this case, being friendly to the Edwards Aquifer will "take a village"— certainly not a huge housing development such as Pulte's clearcut Encino Ridge.
